Sony has filed a patent that will add even more joy to your gaming time, thtas advertising joy by the way. The patent will apparently stop your game, go to an advert, then go back to your game. Just what gamers have been asking for.
The patent filed by Sony Computer Entertainment America?filed?last July with the aim being that it will stop ?playing of the interactive content,? and then display an advertisement for you, after which it will allow you to go back to that pesky gamhaven were ?been playing. Though its not all bad, the system will warn you before its stops the game so its not all bad, right?
?A method for use in advertising includes initiating playing of interactive content, suspending playing go the interactive content, displaying an advertisement, and resuming playing of the interactive content.?
The advertising server will send a bat signal out to all the systems running the software enabling it to display the ad to all gamers simultaneously.The advantage being that multiplayer games will all be paused at the same time rather than pausing at different times.
