This position will be located in Maplewood, MN.Job Summary:The Business Human Resources Manager role provides business unit specific strategic and consultative services related to talent and key HR organizational strategic opportunities for assigned medium to large complex divisions in the Industrial and Transportation Business. Provides sound HR advice and counsel to assigned executives and key division operational leadership with emphasis on decision-making, operational/strategic planning, and human capital management in support of business objectives. Develop human resources business strategies and create solutions for complex and multifaceted problems. Implement standards and defines guidelines for HR operations and measurements for assigned businesses. Key services include: * Executive consulting: Actively participating in business-related meetings identifying appropriate strategies and execution with assigned Division Operating Committee members and key Executives. * Strategic planning: Actively participating in the strategic planning process, and developing HR strategic plans to support business plans. * Human Capital Planning (HCP): Translating business unit's strategic/operating plan into tangible HCP needs/projects. * Organizational change: Proactively diagnosing organizational issues which will require organization design and/or change management. Leading/coordinating projects to address opportunities. * Performance Management: Working with Management Operating Committee members and Executives within the 3M Employee Contribution and Development Program. Facilitate high-level Management Tier Reviews. * Leadership Development: Provide coaching to organizational leaders. Facilitate the identification of appropriate Leadership Development programs and candidates. Participate in and support Leadership Academy priorities and dashboards. * Employee transitions: Working with business clients to assess need for elimination as part of a restructuring or organizational change. Assessing alternatives. Working with business client to articulate elimination rationale. * Mergers & Acquisitions: Actively lead all aspects of due diligence and integration planning activities, partnering with the Mergers, Acquisitions & Transitions (M&A&T) Center of Excellence and all other HR functions.Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required* Minimum of seven (7) years of Human Resources experience is requiredPreferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources is preferred* Master's degree or MBA is preferred. * SPHR or PHR certification and/or other progressive continuing education in the HR field is preferred.* Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred* Master knowledge and experience with the most current theories and practices in at least one or more related HR professional disciplines. Broad knowledge of multiple related disciplines. * Comprehensive knowledge of 3M's global strategy, business areas, structure and organization, as well as of the external market.* The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strong results, business acumen, the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment. * Knowledge of required computer programs and corporate HR systems.
