Position ?: PeopleSoft HRIS functional lead.

Location : Portland, OR.

Duration : 6 + months.

POSITION PURPOSE:?

The HRIS functional lead utilizes PeopleSoft and other computer technology tools to support and streamline Human Resources business processes. This position serves as a subject matter expert for the PeopleSoft Human Resource System. ? Assists with or manages product upgrade, modification, and enhancement projects. Coordinates and collaborates with HR Staffing, Position Management, compensation staff, IT and other departments to manage employee lifecycle in the PeopleSoft Human Resource System. Prepares statistical and personnel reports and queries for internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Description:

Maintain an in-depth understanding of the configuration and data set-up tables of PeopleSoft and how the tables affect how transactions are edited and processed through the system.?

Coordinate and communicate with Functional Leads from other departments and IT regarding system issues; processing; upgrades and enhancements.?

Manage HR contributions to Federal and State reporting requirements, including data gathering, auditing, report creation and validation.?

Maintain system data tables and configurations as business processes evolve and new requirements emerge.?

Provide training on PeopleSoft software for new HR staff and other end users.?

Extract information from the system as needed by the HR department and district using data query and reporting tools.

Lead HRIS testing and prototyping to continually improve implementation of new system modifications, HR business processes and increase system utilization.?

Log cases of system errors with PeopleSoft Customer Support and work with PeopleSoft analysts to resolve problems.

Produce and analyze HRIS data to support effective decision making, recommendations for improved system, policies and/or procedures and work flow of the department.

Coordinate integration of HR systems with other systems (e.g. Finance, Budget, Information Technology, eSIS, Aesop, Talx, TSPC).

Ensure data integrity by utilizing quality assurance methods to review data for accuracy

Provide high-level technical support and customer service to district administrators, employees, prospective employees, and community members

Provide support to other HRIS projects and functions, as needed and assigned

Experience:

Three to five years Human Resources experience or Information Technology experience.

Experience utilizing computer technology (spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software) to streamline business processes.

Two to four years' experience (including system queries) with at least one complex HRMS software package, PeopleSoft preferred.

Experience in a large, multi-unit public sector organization.

Cross-Functional experience in HRIS, Payroll and IT.

Project Management experience.

Technical Job Related Knowledge, Skill, Abilities:

Proficient in PeopleSoft.

Commitment to individual and organizational cultural competency.

Must be self-motivated, highly organized with the ability to prioritize independently while demonstrating a sense of urgency.

Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines.

Ability to exercise confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and independent judgment in the performance of duties.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.?

Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses:

Proven analytical skills, problem-solving ability and team orientation.?

Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with individuals and audiences of varying technical and business backgrounds.?
