Agriculture building destroyed in Okla. tornado (AP)

OKLAHOMA CITY ? Officials say an agriculture office was destroyed and other buildings damaged as tornadoes touched down in southwestern Oklahoma.

No injuries were reported in Monday's storms. Tillman County emergency management director Jeffrey Rector said an Oklahoma State University extension field office was destroyed, a home and a hay barn were damaged, and a storm chaser's vehicle was overturned.

Rector said the residents of a home two miles south of Tipton were trapped after their house was damaged. They were eventually rescued and suffered no injuries.

The damaged buildings were between Tipton and Frederick.

Rector says the storm chaser whose vehicle was overturned got into another vehicle and continued on the chase.

Tornadoes are most prevalent in Oklahoma in the spring, but the state has a secondary severe weather season in autumn.
